POSITION DESCRIPTION: North Mara Gold Mine Limited is seeking to recruit seven (7) Underground Mechanical Trainers to join Underground Maintenance team. The successful candidates for this position will carry out assigned mechanical tasks within the guidelines of Company Standard Operating Procedures and Best Practice as well as other assigned tasks within the range of competencies. The position will report to the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent. This is a two years fixed contract role, with the work roster being seven (42) days on (21) days off.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Ensure a healthy and safe working environment for all employees.  Maintaining, repairing mechanical issues, diagnostics / Fault Finding and Routine inspection on a variety of UG machines Coordinate activities in the unit and report back to Mobile Maintenance Superintendent.  Ensure that mobile equipment is maintained in a safe and cost effective manner.  Ensure all Barrick safe work practices are observed, and implemented in the department of responsibility.  Ensure the preparation and execution of maintenance plans and schedules on the basis of daily, weekly and monthly mining and ore processing priorities.  Supervising, training, developing and nationalization of the maintenance team.  End of month reporting of maintenance performance against plan.  The quality, cost and timeliness of maintenance activities are critical to the project as a whole.  Ensure maintenance costs are kept to, or below assigned budget.  Display a sense of urgency to ensure timely repair and maintenance of mine equipment.  Contribute to the operations by ensuring that all maintenance activities are planned and completed in a cost effective manner with minimal disruption to ore processing and mining activities.  Demonstrate commitment to safe work practices by example and act immediately on any unsafe act or situation observed and monitor standards.  Actively promote and foster the development of a pro-active site safety behaviors that makes safety an integral part of all work activities.  Identify and rectify/report specific hazards using Job Safety Analysis (JSA) process.  Assist with accident/incident investigation and with the induction and training of new employees  Ensure all employees reporting to this position attend safety related training courses and engage in any of the company’s safety initiatives. 
 QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 
 A relevant trade qualification in mechanical or Technician Certificate from a recognized institution.  A Mechanical Trade Certification is highly desired. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:  Minimum of 8 years’ Artisanal experience in mechanical fitting and mobile equipment maintenance.  Demonstrated competencies in the rebuild and servicing of underground mining mobile equipment’s.  Well-developed oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to interact with People of diverse cultures and levels. SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:  Strong Safety Background and ability to drive a Safe working environment and practices.  Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.  Computer skills –MS Excel, Access, Word, Outlook.  Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment.  Driving ability. 

JOB ADVERT UNDERGROUND AUTO ELECTRICIAN TRAINER - 2 POSITION DESCRIPTION: North Mara Gold Mine Limited is seeking to recruit Two (2) Underground Auto Electrician Trainer to join Underground Maintenance team. The successful candidates for this position will carry out assigned auto electrical and training tasks within the guidelines of Company Standard Operating Procedures and Best Practice as well as other assigned tasks within the range of competencies. The position will report to the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent. This is a two years fixed contract role, with the work roster being seven (42) days on (21) days off. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Ensure a healthy and safe working environment for all employees.  Maintaining, repairing electrical issues, diagnostics / Fault Finding and routine inspection on a variety of UG machines (i.e. SANDVIK, CAT, NORMET).  Coordinate activities in the unit and report back to Mobile Maintenance Superintendent.  Ensure that mobile equipment is maintained in a safe and cost effective manner.  Develop workforce to maintain the underground mines mobile equipment fleet.  Ensure safe working practices and Hazard identification principles and processes are observed by subordinates at all times.  Involvement with developing training programs for national workforce and carrying out competency assessments.  Demonstrate commitment to safe work practices by example and act immediately on any unsafe act or situation observed and monitor standards.  Full compliance with the OEM repair procedures and all safety and training protocols.  Complete all training module within the auto electrical and maintenance skills matrix program.  Monitor mine underground auto electrical activities and eliminate any wasteful practices, ensuring agreed target for maintenance are met.  Support and work through the departmental tactical plans to achieve the overall business objective.  Developing and managing equipment component change outs and rebuilds where necessary.  Investigate and implement latest technology that will improve auto electrical works. 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  Trade or technical certificate level qualification in the Auto electrical field. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:  Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in a mine auto electrical maintenance role.  Good working knowledge of auto electrical maintenance planning/scheduling.  Experienced in maintenance practices and techniques.  Experience in large underground mining operation.  Experience in delivering technical training programmes.  JOB ADVERT – MOBILE EQIUPMENT OPERATOR II (TRUCK) 
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
 North Mara Gold Mine Limited is seeking to recruit one (1) Mobile Equipment Operator II - Truck to join Underground Production team. The successful candidates for this position will carry out assigned hauling tasks within the guidelines of Company Standard Operating Procedures and Best Practice as well as other assigned tasks within the range of competencies. The position will report to the First Line Leader - Underground. This is a one year fixed contract role, with the work roster being seven days day shift, seven days night shift and seven days off shift. RESPONSIBILITIES:  Operate truck safely whilst travelling within the underground mine or on the surface;  Operate the truck safely whilst reversing into stockpiles for loading or when reversing into dump locations;  Perform pre-start checks, refuel and wash equipment;  When instructed assist with charge up of faces, re-entry after firing and extension of mine services;  Work with technical and supervisory staff in quality and safety initiatives;  Complete all tasks at the required rate and to the required standard;  Compliance to all applicable mine safe work procedures / safe operating procedures;  Participation in all applicable safety, prestart and shift team meetings;

 QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 

 Ordinary secondary school education.  Heavy Mobile equipment operation skills.  Mines Health & Safety Act Awareness.
